Collectively the physical therapists at Peak Performance Physical Therapy have more than 30 years of clinical experience. All of our therapists have earned a clinical doctoral degree in physical therapy. Beyond the academic preparation, our therapists have obtained specialty training in a variety of clinical areas including; manual therapy, vestibular rehab, and clinical electrophysiology.
A testament to our commitment to excellence is that a variety of local and regional medical practitioners including; family medicine physicians (M.D. and D.O.), physician specialists (orthopeadics, neurosurgeons, etc.), doctors of poditriac medicine, physician assistants and nurse practitioners; refer their patients to us for physical therapy intervention.
Our clinic also offers a provider licensed as a “Direct Access” physical therapist. As a result, we believe that our clinic can provide the community of Greencastle/Shady Grove and surrounding areas with an alternate entry point into the health care system. Direct access allows individuals to self refer to physical therapy services. In this system, the physical therapist can evaluate, diagnose and treat musculoskeletal movement problems without the need of a referral from a physician. However, we still cultivate a close relationship with our patient’s physician by communicating the musculoskeletal examination findings, physical therapy diagnosis, and plan of care with them. With the privilege of direct access; we acknowledge our responsibility to refer our patients to a physician or other appropriate medical professional when additional medical issues are identified that fall outside of the scope of physical therapy practice.
